Ann-Cathrin Schmitt

Master student via Erasmus exchange (January – April 2018)

Chemical biography

Ann-Cathrin joined our group via the Erasmus programme for a 2 month project starting in January 2018. At the time, Ann-Cathrin was a Masters student at the Free University of Berlin. During her time with us, she worked together with Fredric on our green and exceptionally mild protocol to synthesise Au(I) complexes. The work from this project was published in ChemSusChem.

Following the completion of her Masters degree, Ann-Cathrin started her PhD studies in the group of Professor Rainer Haag at the Free University of Berlin.

Publications

1. Mild and Efficient Synthesis of Diverse Organo-Au(I)-L Complexes in Green Solvents
Fredric L. J. Ingner, Ann-Cathrin Schmitt, Andreas Orthaber, Paul J. Gates, Lukasz T. Pilarski*
