Fredric Ingner
PhD Student (March 2017 – present)
Chemical biography
Fredric completed his undergraduate degree here at Uppsala University and joined the our group for a Masters project in November 2015. He worked diligently on making carbazoles do previously-unheard-of things, including via C-H activation. Fredric completed his Masters thesis in the summer of 2016. In the autumn of the same year, Fredric moved to the group of Eszter Borbas at Uppsala University’s Ångström laboratory for a research project.
We’re delighted to say that Fredric returned – this time to start his PhD – in March 2017. He is currently working on developing various C-H activation and aryne-related methodologies, with a sprinkling of organometallics and mechanochemistry here and there.
