Fredric and Matt present their results at the San Diego ACS National Meeting
Matt & Fredric have presented their latest results at the 2019 ACS National meeting in San Diego, California. Their work involves arynes, Au, boron and mechanochemistry.
Pia Wenisch joins the group!
We welcome Pia Wenisch to the group. Pia joins us from FAU Erlangen in Germany via the Erasmus program. Pia will be working closely with Shengjun on literally trying to grind out some results in one of our C-H functionalization projects.
Yannick Keuthen joins the group!
Yannick joins the group from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität, Münster. He will be working with us on trying to bend arynes this way or that. Welcome, Yannick.
Tobias Kaper joins the group!
We welcome Tobias Kaper to the group, who joins from Carl von Ossietzky Universität of Oldenburg via the Erasmus scheme. Tobias will work on a joint project between the Dyrager group and our group.
Our method for turning arylboronic acids into arynes is published in J. Org. Chem.!
Congratulations to Karthik, Fredric and Carina! Our study on how to use arylboronic acids as de facto aryne precursors is published in J. Org. Chem. Moreover, it's been selected for the ACS Editor's Choice page!
Our review on Weinreb amide directing groups is published in Molecules!
Congratulations to Jagadeesh, whose second paper in our group is accepted in Molecules. We are grateful to Professor Szostak for inviting us to contribute to the Special Issue on amides.
Klaudia joins the group!
We welcome Klaudia Kollárová to the group, who joins us through the Erasmus scheme from UCT Prague in the Czech Republic. Welcome Klaudia!
Shengjun Ni joins us as a postdoc
We welcome Shengjun Ni to the group for a Carl Trygger postdoc. Shengjun will work on greener, more sustainable C-H functionalisation methodology.
Sebastian Novosedlik joins the group
Sebastian joins us on a two-month internship from the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich. Welcome! He will be working on using a mechanochemical approach to make organometallic complexes.
Our perspective on indole C4-H activation is published
Congratulations to Jagadeesh as well as our collaborators in Göttingen, Lutz Ackermann and Gandeepan Parthasarathy!
